Watching the Cards/Astro game on the big F, they now instead of singing a hearty rendition of "take me out to the ballgame" while the grounds crew does its thing, have to stop everything for the "New Event"

So we had everyone stopped while Fox televised another of its cadre of red neck country western singers belting out "God Bless America" for the 7th inning stretch.

Players standing around in 38 degree cold rain. Relief pitchers had to stop warming up. Everything to a halt until this televised tribute to Murica is over.

Television used to slip in all of its early race commercials while NASCAR did its praying, singing, flag waving, flybys etc. Now we are forced to go the refrigerator for more beer because they are going to show it allllll, then do the Bush commericals. Somehow I espect for them to look for a way to stop the race tonight in Charlotte at the 250 mile mark and run good 'ole Jimmy Dean out on the track to sing our National Hymn.
