Man calls himself a country; claims diplomatic immunity in assault case

Curtis Johnson contends he shouldn't be on trial for assaulting a cop because he's an independent country.
(CARY, Illinois-AP) September 11 -- It's the State of Illinois versus the United States of Johnson?

The Cary resident faces four misdemeanor charges for allegedly scratching and pushing a police officer during a July traffic stop. In court documents, Johnson claims he's not a U.S. citizen -- but a separate country all his own.

He says the state's attorney does not have the jurisdiction to prosecute because he has diplomatic immunity. A judge is not buying the argument. Johnson is free on $1,000 bond and is due in court October 7.

Welcome to the Kingdom of trof,

1. Hey, why the hell not?
If a fucking moron who has never held a job in his life can declare himself Emperor of the World, then why shouldn't this nutcase be his own country?

3. Oh
Let's charge him bail, procecute him, and then put him in jail immediately. We don't have the resources to simply provide the mental health treatment or medication the man deserves.

There but for the Grace of God go I .....
