Kerry IS unfit to lead this nation
Edited on Sat Oct-16-04 01:25 PM by noahmijo
Half of this nation are complete simpletons with the maturity level of a 5 year old and an IQ which rivals only that of Forest Gump.

These people cannot understand John Kerry, they cannot understand nor tolerate a man who speaks with honesty and eloquence.

They can't tolerate seeing a man who has seen war and knows what it feels like to really kill someone or have someone you care about killed.

They can't tolerate a man whose record as a prosecutor is almost unmatched concerning his role in supporting the police and fighting for harsher punishment against women who were victims of violent crime.

They can't tolerate a man who led the charge to take down Ollie North and the rest of the Neo-Con criminals who were selling arms to Iran illegally.

They for sure can't tolerate a man who was instrumental in busting down the BCCI, a well known financial institution which did business with terrorists.

What's Acid Rain? WHO CARES???

It's more fun to scream "flip flop flip flop!" like a pack of demented Children of the Corn extras.

It's more fun to demand a war be shown on tv that they don't have to fight, it's more fun to watch a bumbling idiot (mis)lead the country so that the simpleton crowd who adores him can someday dream of being president themselves. Hey if a C student can do it so can I!!

So people this is why I must agree John Kerry is not fit to lead this nation of half witted idiots who are most interested in what's happening on Survivor than what's happening outside their own doors.

7. Yes, it's shocking
that we don't have some sort of test that would exclude unworthy voters.

Let's make it so only MENSA members can vote. THEN we'll have a true democracy!

3. And Don't forget:
"Kerry" has one more letter in it than "*" meaning it will cost more to print the new Prez's name on official documents. Heck, they'll have to change a lot of documents. Keeping * in office will save money.

Also, 9/11 happened on *'s watch. It probably would have been prevented if Gore or Kerry were in office. And how can you control mass numbers of lemming-people if you don't have a 9/11? Presidents who effectively stop terrorist attacks are dangerous to the security and brainwashing of this nation!!!!!!

(Yuk. How do people become so STUPID?)

4. What I always wonder about is why would this man want to take on the
burdens of leading this screwed up mess? We don't live in the United States anymore. We live in some ugly Twilight Zone where evil is confused with good, leadership and integrity is confused with insanity and criminal behavior, and care and concern for our fellow countryman is confused with bigotry and hatred.

I think that Kerry is either the ultimate patriot (this is the way I'm leaning) or the most masochistic human being on the fact of this earth (somedays I catch myself wondering about this). He will be, actually has been, sacrificing what could be a life of comfort and ease in order to take on this putrid mess that the bush* administration have created and forced upon us.

5. Well, I think a certain amount of basic masochism is not just
helpful but required for anybody more than a dust speck left of center to try to gain the White House. As soon as they're inaugurated, every time they blow their noses in public guys like Newt Gingrich paint it as liberal activism. Their lives become the subject of complete scrutiny in a way Republicans' lives never are. If they have money, there's the ready-made 'Limousine liberal' tag; if they're not religious enough, they're accused of being anti-religious. Even if they're patriots -- and I ain't saying Kerry may not be one -- I think they have to possess a certain level of resigned masochism just to attach that 'D' to their names and run a national campaign, and it's been that way since Carter at least (that's as long as I can remember, it may have gone on longer than that).

6. Has this system ever been anything else?
There are many fictional analogies that you can draw upon for political reference. It all depends on what aspects of a system you are exploring. It is easy to over-simplify a vastly complex network of political dynamics.

America is a great country and a wonderful experiment. Within its structure, more freedoms are possible. There is often more room to negotiate lateral and horizontal movement.

However, it is not as free or honestly Democratic as it appears, or pretends, to be. Perhaps it would be too idealistic for one to expect it to be, all things considered. James Madison did not appear to see a constitutional government as anything more than a more just, more fair, yet manageable facade for the Elite.

There has always been a fractional margin comprised of those who seem to have had some form of a political Satori. They wake up and step outside Plato's cave only to be drowned out, and marginalized, by a megalithic system of indoctrination, necessary illusions, and manufactured consent. Sorry to get all Chomsky on you there.

If you look at the Matrix as a hyper-real, modern Plato's cave, you can see that it serves as a philosophical reflection for what some suggest modern American Democracy actually is.

From there, you can surmise that this election represents a potentially large glitch and red pills are now falling from the sky in droves. Democracy may be ready to reboot! How the program then executes will depend on the red/blue pill consumption ratio. Even though the color symbols are oddly reversed concerning their implications, (mirrored?) there is an amusing correlation to play with there.
