or "when" if you prefer; How is that going to impact Bush, who claims to be getting orders directly from "God"? How about the fundamentalists, who believe that he was chosen by "God" and is getting his orders directly from said deity?
I am just curious. Do they just assume that an omniscient, omnipotent deity changed its mind? That it allowed its opposite number to win this one for some reason? Do they lose their faith? Do they assume the arrival of some sort of anti-Christ and await the rapture?
Edit: transposed two words

1. They'll do like any other time |

...things don't go their way. They'll blame it, loudly and repeatedly, on Satan.

but I don't understand how they can just accept the switch
Edit: accept in the sense of their deity suddenly not caring I mean - we know they aren't going to accept the reality and just keep quiet about it.

You blame satan. I happen not to believe in either, as physical manifestations. I believe that it is more due to another thing mentioned in the Bible - the bit about (paraphrased, since I don't have it ingrained into my mind) the love of money being the root of all evil. There are just too many opportunities for Bush, his cronies, and big business to make money in all this -- and for the lower level ones, they actually believe that voting Republican will give them part of that pot.

14. Well, I DO believe... |
|
but that is neither here nor there --- Repubs think they have a monolpoly on being Christian - or Christlike -- and that is total BULL! Heheheh... if Bush is a Christian, I am Jesus!

15. This is old news of course |
|
But I totally understand what you mean - even as an atheist, I can see that the venom they are spouting has remarkably little to do with Christianity as I've known it most of my life.

16. It is embarrassing.... |

to tell you the truth... one thing if he was all the Christian he espouses to be he would be honest with the world and say "I cannot bring peace - no one can... for the very Word of God declares that there will be NO peace...ever.. there will be wars and rumors of wars till He comes!"
That is just ONE small thing -- but , no he lies and suggests that this world CAN know freedom and peace through his little wars... ain't gonna happen...

8. I agree with your thinking . |
|
But also look forward to lots of BS coming from conservative talk show radio shows , College Republicans threatening to hang themselves by their neckties , security moms threatening to run over any liberal in their mini-van ...
Its going to be really funny the week of the election after the Kerry/Edwards win .

and lemme tell ya, we are not ALL fooled by Dumbya's "religiosity" at all... he uses the Bible when he thinks it will benefit him and puts on his pious face when he is around the Christian bunches, but he is satan incarnate -- and not all of us are THAT blind!!! God has naught to do with Bush, trust me!!!!

I'm not commenting on Christians as a whole, just the segment that happen to believe this particular tripe.
