For mmmarke, et al, Poor Martha's Party Casserole (Lasagna)
I think this is just the best. I got this recipe from my Aunt years ago and I don't have measurements...just use your imagination.

Lasagna noodles (you can also use the no-bake kind);
Cottage Cheese
Cream Cheese
Sour Cream
Chopped Scallions
Chopped Green Olives
Tomato Sauce
Parm. Cheese

Make a nice thick (but spreadable) mixture of the cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, scallions and olives. Season with garlic salt, pepper and anything else you love.

Put down a layer of noodles and then spread some of the mixture on top. Keep repeating this process until you run out of the mixture. End with a layer of noodles. Put a little butter on top, cover with tomato sauce, slices of tomatoes and parm cheese. Cover and bake in a slow oven (250-300)until bubbling.

This is the best if you make it the day or night before, bake it, let it cool and then put it in the fridg overnight. Heat it again before you serve it. This lets all the cheeses get a chance to meld together.

I hope you like it! :hi:

Lots of folks down here are really excited about Will coming down. You want me to make him call you when he gets here? :-)

11. Well Skittles will be here to keep him in line!!
She'll kick his ass if he gets out of line! Of course, after Sunday, she goes back home - but we'll be too busy to get in trouble.

8. I forgot to mention...
my college roommate was from Dallas. I was a freshman in 1964... my father was a great friend and advisor of JFK...people wondered if Judy and I would kill eachother...people said "how can you room with her"... we have been friends for 30 years...

9. Texas is full of great liberals!!
We're just a little outnumbered right now. But, we'll get 'em. I'm not a native, but I've lived here 23 out of 35 years.

2. This is the *strangest* lasagne recipe I've ever seen!
Can't wait to try it out--thanks!

(of course, I'll have to do it in the next couple of weeks, because at the end of this month, I might start doing the Atkins diet!)

3. It does sound strange...
especially the olives (to me anyway) but believe me, it's good! Do it before the diet!
