Poll question: Should I put up my Kerry yard sign? |
|
Before the Kerry rally, I picked up a Kerry yard sign at the Appleton, WI campaign headquarters at the peer pressure of my best friend who picked up one. He lives in a small conservative village, about a block from the polls. He said how proud he is to be putting it in his yard and that I should put mine in my yard and be proud too. I am proud to support Kerry. I wear a button on my coat. It does not bother me to show this in my conservative little town. The problem is that last month our landlord put up a Bush sign in the yard of our duplex, saying nothing about it to us (I saw him put it up). I would be polite and put it a short distance away instead of covering up the Bush sign, but I still worry that our landlord will give us crap. Should I give into peer pressure, what I truly believe, and what my idealistic self would do or should I be practical and fear my landlord?
