Just got home from a BEATLE JUICE concert! |
|
Beatle Juice is a rock band that plays All Beatles, All The Time. Brad Delp of the band "Boston" is the lead singer.
I haven't had that much fun in a very long time! It was GREAT! For just over 2 hours...with a 20 minute intermission, an auditorium full of people was back in the 60s. Dancing and singing and clapping, and hooting and hollering! Wow! What a time! I am SOOOOO wound!
Woooo Hoooo!!!!!!!!!

That's cool. I was thinking about him the other day. Just a really nice person, he is. Good to know he's keeping his chops up.

3. Where was this? How did Delp sound? Any other ex-Boston players? |
|
I loved him when he was singing with Boston, great voice, though I get a little tired waiting for Tom Scholz to make an album every 9 years...

4. It was in Peabody, MA.. |
|
In the auditorium at City Hall. It was a benefit concert for the Roger Trask Elderly Medical Care Center.
Brad is the only "Boston" member, but the band members have been buddies for years, and "Beatle Juice" resulted. A friend of mine is the "key board, guitar, harmonica and everything the rest of us don't know how to play" man. This was the first concert in this area, but I sure hope there will be more!

7. Some of us are trying to make arrangements for a concert |
|
in Marblehead. I'll post it here if can get it done! It was a FABULOUS time.
WATCH THIS SPOT! It will not happen right away, though. First we need to find a place to accommodate it cheaply, since it, too, will be a benefit concert. Don't want to spend all the proceeds on the venue.
Oh, and for the non New England DUers, no, Marblehead was NOT named in honor of our current (p)resident.

And the drummer is Muzz, who formed "Farrenheit" in the late 80s with Charlie Farren and David Hull of the "Joe Perry Project (Aerosmith).
