Man, did I score big time!
I found a copy of Ursula K. Le Guin's "The Lathe Of Heaven" on DVD! This is the original PBS TV movie, produced probably 25 years ago. I saw it when it first came out, and have hoped all these years to see it again. Until now, I haven't succeeded.

If you've never watched it (or read the book) I urge you to find it and do so. It's incredible.

now you've reminded me of one of my favorite books from when I was a child Very Far Away from Anywhere Else - and I'm going to want to reread that

Great Movie. Kind of like what the PNAC is doing right now. Maybe i'll go to sleep and dream that they are mute. That would be fun in the morning. It would of course render FOX speechless too.:9

...the original PBS version rocked, and I immediately went out and bought the book.

I was only so-so on the remake, though...
