4. I agree...

but I admire his versatility. He can take bad movies, say the "Prophecy" debacles, and turn them into halfway decent films. I have seen many of his films, and the only exceptions to his saving of bad movies would be films like "Communion" (not his fault; incoherent script) and "New Rose Hotel" (so bad that even he and Wilem DeFoe couldn't salvage it).

8. the "Prophecy" movies

are quite excellent, perhaps *only* because of Walken's sensitivity and skill. Of course, I'm also a sucker for the "bad angel" archetype...

Walken has a certain androgyny and physical grace seen rarely these days; more common in the days of classical vaudeville comedy, n'est-ce pas?
