Droopy's NFL question of the week.
Why do the Bengals consistently suck? I can see having a bad season here and there or going through a rebuilding process, but it's been 13 years since the Bengals had a winning season.

1. Ownership. Just like with the Chargers.
If you dont put quality players on the field you will not win in this league.

2. Not sure.
They've certainly got the talent--Palmer, Rudi Johnson, Chad Johnson, Peter Warrick, Justin Smith...I can't quite figure it out.

5. They've gone through several coaches during their losing streak
I think Marvin Lewis is a good one. They had a pretty good season (for the Bengals) last year and I thought things were looking up for them for this season, but, alas, they are 1-4.

4. Bad run Defense and a struggling young quarterback are the main reasons
Today the recieving core couldn't catch clap from cheap hookers if they tried:argh::(

6. Owner's attitude.
Look, a great player can make you good for a couple of seasons, a great coach for a decade, but to be good year in and year out, look to the owners.

Likewise, if the owners are bad, they won't hire the coach or the players they need, and they'll be consistantly bad.

Look at the Rams... when the owner kept on interfereing, they sucked. When she got out of the way, they became good. Same same.
