Why does my computer monitor do this?
The image keeps going in and out like someone is blowing air on the screen. Am I going to lose it soon? It is OLD...a 15" probably 7 years old

2. My old Gateway monitor did that...
and I'd hit the "degauss" button and it'd go away.

8. I know what a 'belly button' is......
what the hell is a 'degauss' button? I don't have a surge protector on this computer. My speakers have always been right next to the monitor but I have a lamp and clock on my hardrive??
