Here is your chance: explain to me why I should not retire |
|
I'm retiring two years short of high year of tenure.
I'm fed up. The Air Force isn't fun anymore.
Besides I want to start my second career. (Male exotic dancer looks good)
Don't agree? Convince me otherwise.

2. Only two more years gets you a higher pension check, right? |
|
I can understand wanting to get out, but won't that exotic male dancer job still be there in two years?

3. I will encourage you to retire |

My brother retired after 20 years on the Army. He went back to school, met a lovely lady who became his wife, and eventually started a new career in a junior college, using his computer skills from the Army. He and his wife had two kids, and with his pension, were able to let her be the stay-at-home mom she wanted to be. His kids are almost grown now, and he's only a couple years from retiring again. Haven't heard that he ever regretted leaving the bs of the Army behind.

Your argument on why you should retire is better. My brother-in-law is retired from the Air Force. It's nice for him; he gets supplemental income that way that helps them all get by.

My wife on the other hand LOVES my ass.
She can't do without it.
I think other housewives would agree

I'm sure if your ass is good enough for your wife (and I am sure she has high standards), then it's good enough for the general public.
Dance on!

But how much more money could you get by staying two years? That's really the question. If it's not much, split now. If it's significant, hang in for two more years.

10. I'm going to 55% vs. 60% if I stay in |
|
But I'm looking at outside income.
I could stand to make a a nice sum. Even as a govt. contractor.
I have a few health issues to contend with too.
It's wearing me down

9. Depends on who wins Nov 2nd |

to be honest. Under Kerry things would be fairly good. Under Bush I think life will get tougher for our troops.

can't they pull the stoploss switcho-changeo on you and secure your ass for as long as they want, until you've been out at least 8 years? Or is that reserves only?
