My son just got his first hair cut.
I hate it! He had beautiful golden baby ringlets. Now they are gone. What was I thinking? I will try gluing them back on when he wakes up tomorrow morning.

1. Awww... Keep the curls in an envelope
I still come across my daughter's baby curls every now and then after 32 years!

2. well mine is 19
and hes never really had a hair cut. a few trims when he was little and the unruly baby locks were just growing in.

now he has a scruffy goat beard to go with it.

maybe a haircut wouldnt have been so bad.
:)

3. I'm facing that now.
My littlest, (and my last :( ) is well overdue for his first haircut. I'm trying to put it off till his 1st birthday at the end of the month. I love the little blond baby curls, but everyone thinks he's a girl, with the hair, his big blue eyes with long lashes, and his dimples. My babies are growing up

4. Noooooo........
Don't do it, don't cut the curls.

I am really regret the hair cut. I know it is irrational. But I think about his beautiful hair being gone and I just want to weep.

5. It will grow back
I went through this with my first, also with the blond curls. And I lost the envelope I saved them in  I hated it. But, it grew back even thicker and curlier than before. It will be okay  :)

If it weren't getting into his eyes so much, I definitely wouldn't do it.

Man, how are you and I going to handle the future milestones when our kids grow up! I don't want to think about it.

7. Future milestones:
where haircuts are a fond memory.

I celebrated my first child's 27th birthday yesterday.

I do the whole teary mom thing, but really, I do look forward to watching my boys grow and watch who they will become. But, I'll miss the baby years, too.

10. The truly awesome thing
is that my sons are men that I like and respect. We enjoy each other's company and conversation as adults. And we share their lifetime of memories, too.

:loveya:

11. I dunno why not, but my daughter's first haircut
didn't upset me at all. Maybe 'cause she really just got a trim, maybe 'cause she is the oldest.

I just got the little boo out of bed and I am feeling better about the hair cut. He is still really cute and his own sweet self. So maybe it will be ok.

6. Did he mind getting his hair cut?
Once I was in a salon in California when this little boy about 3 was there getting his hair cut. He was very upset and kept yelling, "No thank you! Please! No thank you!" as they were trying to cut his hair. I felt sorry for him, but it was pretty funny at the same time to see such a well-mannered public tantrum. :D

12. No, he really didn't mind.
But I made his father take him, I couldn't watch.

The tantrum sound hilarious. It is hard being little. You have very definite opinions about how things should be, but very little recourse when things don't go your way.

9. I know the feeling! My son has beautiful thick brown hair,
just gorgeous. I cried the first time it was cut.
