How do you get rid of a Hangover?
My head feels like it's going to split apart at any moment. I have felt nauseous all day :puke: and the thought of food makes me want to :puke:.

Why do bars offer 2 for 1 cocktails on a Saturday night? I thought that I was getting a bargain and all I got was a hangover from it.

1. The only thing that's ever worked for me in plenty of sleep.
And lots of water.

3. Gatorade, SmartWater, Something sweet
Gatorade and Smartwater help balance your electrolytes and eating something sweet raises your blood sugar. People feel crappy when hung over bec. they're dehydrated and their blood sugar is low.

4. Water.
And in the future, make sure you drink a lot of water before you stop drinking, that helps.

Take some Ibuprofen, if you've not already.

:)

5. Try tomato soup or a bloody mary- the vodka
it cleans the skunk smell off of dogs and helps a hang over

9. bong hit
if it's available to you, it's what I'd recommend. Other than that, for a real bad hangover, the best thing to do is to sleep when you can by whatever means possible within the limits of reasonable safety (ie, don't drink the ENTIRE bottle of NyQuil), and drink lots of water all the other times.

Don't fuck with tylenol or advil or aspirin. They're all shit to puke up.

10. Check out this stuff
called Liverite. It's a pill you take before you go out drinking and apparently it helps flush your system. The best way to get rid of a hangover is to treat it the night before. Take Liverite, drink a few glasses of water and then pop a few advil and hit the sack. Works for me.

11. There are plenty of things...
... you can do to prevent a hangover (and not all involve drinking less :)) but I've found nothing that will really help one much.

Even sleep, for me - if I try to sleep through it, it's still waiting for me when I wake up.

Whenever I have a hangover I just try to think of all the fun I had last night and tell myself that it's all worth it. Yeah right :)

12. Next time get Chaser
You can buy it at walgreens or GNC and numerous other places- even on line. Take it with your first drink and you WILL NOT have a hangover. I use it every time I drink- I have gone to bed after six drinks at 10pm and had to get up at 3:30am with no problem. All it is is calcium carbonate (good for your bones too!hehehehe)

13. okay too late for this but next time, if you must:
drink at least 8 ounces of water for each alcoholic beverage. While you are drinking. What ever you order, order a glass of water, and make sure you down that before you get your next drink. Eat some carb and protein before and during the festivities. Cut back on consumption (my trick: order plain tonic-it looks and tastes like an alcoholic bevvy). Drink more water before you go to bed and take an Advil or two. No more than 2. Anyway, that stuff worked for me...
