Just read Blue Mountain, the story about the couple who created Blue Mountain Arts. They have this symbiotic bond that most of us would love to have. Problem is, most people look at a relationship in terms of what they will get out of it. They "list" all the things they will "give" but behind that list is what they expect to receive.
I take every day as an adventure. It's fun to be single because you never know who will show up in your life that day. When you settle for a person who doesn't value you - just to avoid being alone - you create unnecessary obstacles when the right person does show up.

If I had intended a joke copycat I would have done "That's it. I give up on the mail"
I've had enough. It is simply too weird. All those credit card offers and "Have you seen me?" cards. I will be not going to my mailbox for a while."

I find that men are best when you aren't afraid to move on. Once the "warm tinglies' are gone I call it off (if he won't) and we go to being just friends. If you drag it out he'll just get on your nerves and you won't stay friends.
Men are easy to figure out. Watch what dogs do. Divide the legs and brains by half and you have men. Women kiss nicer anyhow...

25. I never have felt compelled to "bring a friend" |
|
to the bathroom. I don't fall under the usual rules of female behaviours. Just ask anyone here. I am direct and forthright and have a complete ability to pee all by myself. I can eat in a restaurant alone or see a movie alone and I have never asked a man, "does my ass look big in this dress?" So there. Rasberries for you. :P
BTW - I'm not really upset, I just haven't ranted in a while!

45. I've always felt that women are more mysterious than men. |
|
I am a woman, but I've always found that men are easier to relate too. They make more sense to me. Most men will not withhold their honest opinions when asked for them. They tend to be very direct. They don't usually say one thing, and mean another. Women are harder for me to read. A lot of them are not very confrontational, meaning they won't say something to your face, but they will gossip about you behind your back. I hate that.

that is to funny....with us guys you just have to think like us to understand, guys who cheat are dysfunctional so there is no helping there on that
but back to my point about thinking like us it can be said in one sentence-keep things simple as possible, its not that we are stupid or lazy well maybe a little lazy,we just like to factor life down to the most simple common sense approach, you only have to look at a bachelor pad to see that we like having our possessions in easily obtainable positions.
guys are different in the respect to how easy something has to be for us to be fungshway but we all like simplicity in our daily lives.
A woman that can keep everything simple is great catch and has staying power.we love peace at home the more peace the better

57. What I dislike is the way they are drawn to the |
|
slick, manipulative high-maintenance narcissistic neurotic members of our gender as if to a magnet, and then they post in the Lounge about how "women don't like nice men."
I've seen really nice men who are devoted like puppy dogs to women who are belittling and unfaithful and all that other bad stuff. And you just know that if Ms. Queen Bee ever gets tired of her puppy dog (who will then complain right and left about how women don't like nice men), there will be dozens of other nice men lined up to take his place.
Meanwhile, the nice women end up going to restaurants alone or in pairs/groups, going to movies and concerts alone or in pairs/groups, traveling along or in pairs/groups...
Sigh! But at least we get out. All those "nice men" who have no ladyfriends seem to spend all their time at home in front of the TV or the computer or hanging out in bars, griping about how they can't find a decent women.
Let me clue you. The "nice women" you say you're looking for are not hanging out in bars.
Oh, and before you tell me that "guys like sports, so you should go to sports bars," I'll tell you that I have gone with groups to eat in sports bars, and that I do not like the types of guys who hang out there. In fact, I don't like the typical middle-class suburban American male at all. I find them to be deliberately ignorant and afraid to deviate from what "the guys" think. They don't know that it's possible to be masculine without being macho.
I recognize that this attitude reduces the available "pool" for me, but I'd rather be single for life than take up with some guy whose idea of the good life is a trophy house, a Suburban, and a wide-screen TV for watching sports all weekend.

They can be just like magpies, Going for the bright shiny bit of tinfoil, leaving that diamond in the rough back in the dirt.
Then after that tinfoil has had some of the shine knocked off of it, maybe a couple of kids, some stretch marks, a drinks problem (vodka, daytime), Mr Magpie goes looking for a brighter, younger bit of tinfoil-in an attempt to spread more of his DNA through the mists of time...
These men have smaller brains though.

63. Personally, I've never been seriously drawn to the "bad boys" |
|
Some of them are superficially attractve, but only in the way a well-done painting or photograph is attractive.
I've backed off from a number of men who showed hints of alcoholism, abusiveness, obsessive jealousy, or shady ethics, and in my experience, they usually reveal their true nature pretty quickly to those who care to pay attention.

I have had that bad boy attraction and learned to wait.
I will NOT abide alcoholism or abusiveness or obsessive jealousy-and those shady ethics? Like not full disclosure on the wife/SO/GF front? :nuke: :grr: :nuke: kill. I could JUST KILL over that-except I also don't want to waste time on arrests, detention, arraignment, finding bond, trial, judgment and sentencing-so any kind of killing or vandalisng of property or assault is not a part of my repertoire-outside my mind.
