Go over to the UK, and hit some of the better pubs for the REAL DEAL: cask-conditioned ale, fresh from the cellar, conditioned to the perfect point of effervesence. No artificial CO2 injected into the beer, so all you get is that smooooth natural carbonation.
I spent 7 months as a cellarman in an English pub in the early 90s, and it was some of the best times of my life. I learned how to truly appreciate beer, and not just chug it to get drunk.
Lagers are fine and dandy, but give me a Real Ale any day of the week. :D
