Silencing the truth does not raise morale -- The president says speaking the truth is harmful. Are people that stupid to believe this sound bite? And when he twists the words of Mr. Kerry saying we need to pass a certain test so everyone understands why we did what we did doesn't mean we let others decide for us. It means we make the right decision. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE GOOD GUYS! I think some Bush supporters have thrown that concept out the window.
Those who disagree with the president when he is wrong help the country. This crazy thinking that you are UN-American if you speak the truth is insane. We are not UN-ourselves. And it doesn't undermine our troops when you address problems that will help them. Now Bush tells us differently but let's look at what Mr.Bush said when it was Clinton:
President (then-candidate) George W. Bush
Bush, in Austin, criticized President Clinton's administration for not doing enough to enunciate a goal for the Kosovo military action and indicated the bombing campaign might not be a tough enough response. 'Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the president to explain to us what the exit strategy is,' Bush said."
The difference is the Kosovo military action was noble and the Iraq war is unjust. But I just thought I would show the hypocrisy.
