good news. I see no reason NOT to have a Replacement's reunion but I can't imagine we'll see a Husker Du reunion anytime soon. Man, this is gonna be good!

All three of the members are still alive, unlike the Mats, who've lost Bob Stinson (even though he was fired after Pleased To Meet Me for his out of control drug habit, I think).

Bob was a raging alcoholic. Last time I saw the 'Mats was in Davenport, IA about 10 years ago. The audience was throwing beer bottles, more in appreciation than in anger. In the middle of 'The Ledge'--the part where they stop--the band left the stage for about ten minutes. They came back out and Westerberg said, 'you know, Bob Stinson was killed by the bottle' (he was still alive at this time, ironically) and they immediately picked up where they left off. Great show.

Greg is a Chef in a town about 40 miles from the Cities. I think he plays in small bands on special occassions, but think he is considered retired. Grant and Bob aren't likely to start speaking to each other soon, from all accounts. Its sad, butdon't kow if it will change.

I saw the Pixies twice on the Trompe le Monde tour (once with Pere Ubu). They put on an absolutely fantastic show.

Holy crap!

I saw the Pixies in '91, but I was too, erm - you know, youthful indiscretion - to really enjoy the show. Not this time.

Actually (I'm gonna sound like a huge dork here), I'll probably go to several of the shows on the upcoming tour. Hope to see some DUers there.
