Orlando-Area DUers: What should I see if I'm stuck in Lake Buena Vista

without a car? I am flying in on Tuesday, will have be in a conference part of Tuesday and all day Wednesday, but will have Tuesday and Wednesday evenings to myself.

Aside from the Premium Outlets (where I'm going on Thursday before I fly home), what should I do? Are there any decent non-chain restaurants?

1. Not from Orlando, but...

LBV is a ways away from Orlando itself, especially if you don't have a car. You may want to check out the Kissame St. Cloud websites for restaurant listings. Kissame is on the other side of the park from LBV (I think), a lot closer if you have to rely on a cab.

2. Stuck in Lake Buena Vista?

What you'll see are 3,000 alligators or eaten up by 3,000 alligators.

All the lakes in Fla. are infected with alligators.

3. Rent a car and drive to Tampa

for dinner with Misunderestimator :D (I'm always setting her up on dates with other women)

Though, I'd be glad to have dinner with RationalRose... maybe Trumad, RationalRose and I can all get together. I could certainly drive to Orlando! Ooohhh... a central Florida meetup!!

5. Rental cars may be hard to get

My wife was at WDW two weekends ago and could not get a rental car. Many of the available cars are being rented by Florida residents whose cars suffered hurricane damage.
