Poll question: would i be a bastard if?
My parents got an anullment when they split up? That means that according to the Church, they were never married. So I was born out of wedlock.

I am a child of SHAME!

However, we're not in the 50's anymore. You're just average. Sorry to burst your bubble.

8. Actually you would still be legitimate. Used to practice family law and
had clients who would get an annulment after the divorce and even though the Catholic Church does not believe in Divorce, it would grant the annulment and yet the children would remain legitimate. Personally, I was raised catholic and it didn't make much sense to me then either.

10. I am aware of the "correct" answer; this is just a copycat thread, dammit!
:P

When my dad sought the annulment several years ago (he wanted to send my stepbrother to Catholic school, and had to get in better with the Church for the good price), I asked him "so, does this mean I'll be a bastard?"

I thought he was gonna cry.

I, of course, was just joking; as I didn't give a rat's ass what the Church thought of my parentage.

12. Did your dad have a marriage pre-contract to marry someone else?
before he married your mum? Did he marry her in secret, thus thwarting the Earl of Warwick's dreams for an alliance with France to finally eradicate the Lancastrian threat, thus making an enemy of the most powerful noble in your family? After your dad's death, will your uncle use this information to bastardize you, thus stealing the throne and either a) spiriting you and your brother out of the kingdom to the continent where you will later plague Henry VII, or b) having you offed in the tower?

16. Legitamacy and other trifles
...And here I am thinking that all loonies were safely confined in Petropravalask...Am thinking that people's mental health service is having same problems that rest of not-so-glorious people's paradise must deal with...posts like this are very good argument in favor of universal health care. (well-meant but cautiously-applied humor)
