Hm. Racist Mary had more power here than I thought.
A few weeks ago, we had a retirement party for an employee, who I've called (here) Racist Mary, for good reason. Right as she retired, my company hired its first African American employee in years.

Guess what?
This week, they hired another African American employee -- part of her new duties include some of Racist Mary's old duties (Racist Mary's job was divided among two other positions).

Coincidence?

OK, yeah, probably. But still.

3. No -- she worked in sales support.
That means she did have quite a bit of behind-the-scenes influence in certain departments, though.

4. The same thing happened here (pretty much)
there was this racist, bleached blonde bitch in this division I worked in.

all that woman did was go around stirring up trouble -- the only blacks she tolerated were the "stepin fetchit" types.

there was ONE black manager in that division.

I left there some years ago. Now that division is on the floor above me.

They finally got rid of her. The guy who took over as the new director is Jewish, and his wife is African. He knew about the crazy racist woman before taking over.

It's like a whole new division now.

The tension is gone, and they've employed a lot more blacks.
