My fundie/ex-Gay ex-Friend has a message board!
http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/heidiho

where you can go read such wisdom as: "well, to start with - I'm voting for Bush, but in my state (NY) it doesn't make much of a difference. It'll be a cold day in hell before there'll be enough electoral votes in New York to vote in a non-liberal pansy as President."

I'm not a paranoid alarmist. Just someone with an active imagination and a naughty desire to have an opportunity to say, "I told you so."

Wow! All this from John Kerry being elected?!! NO! But, I truly think that Satan delights in back door subtleties. That he would gain greater satisfaction from watching our country self-destruct under the guise of "peace, love, and harmony." And I think the Kerry is spineless enough to give Satan a few more inches to work his magic.

Since learning of her "conversion" or her freedom from "homosexuality" earlier this morning, I haven't been able to do anything at work.... I'm that upset. Un-fuckin'-real! :grr::mad::grr:

10. Don't know why, but I can vouch that they are...
My brother is one... he hates me, hates liberals, hates anyone who isn't white and is voting for Bush. Nice base.

3. Were her brains in her nether regions? Because when she went
straight it sounds like there was some serious damage done to her intellect.

4. Have you ever seen that episode of Will & Grace...
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 04:55 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
...where Karen and Jack go to this group called Welcome Back Home, where Neil Patrick Harris runs a support group for former gays and lesbians? Everyone's basically faking to find scope out possible hook-ups.
This is exactly like that. She was probably never gay to begin with. It was probably just the cool thing to do at the time. Christians crack me up when they think people choose a life where they are horribly judged and discriminated against.

6. I think it was Rachel Maddow that said on Unfiltered
"As someone who's gay, I can tell you that no one used to be gay"

7. Your friend is deluding herself
If she was ever actually gay, she still is. No amount of Bible banging is going to change that.

11. True! An Old Boyfriend/Roommate Of Mine Found Jesus And Went Straight...
the first time he ended up marrying some poor gal from his bible study class. That ended up in divorce in less than a year. He realized he was gay after all. Later, Jesus found him and he was guilted back into the program and ended up marrying (AGAIN!) a woman who had so many personal problems that the marriage wouldn't have worked out no matter WHO she married. She didn't like to have sex, so my friend... well... he got himself a boyfriend.

Surprise!!... they divorced in under 6 months.

Apparently, Shreveport's success statistics at 'reforming' queers aren't too good because Dave told me that he later bumped into a couple of guys who were in the "program"... in a gay nightclub.

13. Just like John Paulk!
The "poster boy" for the "ex-gay" movement...who was caught in a gay bar a few years ago...and his explanation was that he "felt at home". Well, DUH.

What I remember is that he was recognized by someone as he cruised the "naughty" area of that particular bar.

8. I feel sort of sorry for your ex-friend. Because you can't change...
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 05:01 PM by terrya
your sexual orientation. This "ex-gay" stuff is a cruel, sick joke. Even the people behind the "ex-gay" movement will admit that the success rate is next to nothing. Society should be accepting to people regardless of their sexual orientation...not treat it as something to "cure"

Your ex-friend needs therapy. Sorry to say it, my friend.

14. Well *THERE'S* The Problem...
you can't take the ex-GAY classes... you have to be in the ex-LESBIAN program before it will "work" on ya. That's like giving a guy Midol for his athlete's foot... the treatment has to match the gender and the condition.

You silly Lesbian!! :hi:

17. "non-liberal pansies"
Why is it that anything from the RR, and repugs in general mostly screams about "homos", "queers", "faggots" and "pansies"?. Well, that and arguments from Rush Limbaugh, who is getting divorced for the third time screaming that gay marriage destroys heterosexual marriage.

If anything, at least they are consistent in that regard.
