HAPPY 78TH BIRTHDAY TO CHUCK BERRY!
One of rock 'n' roll's founding fathers, Charles Edward Anderson Berry came into this world in St. Louis, MO, on October 18, 1926. His string groundbreaking classic hits included "Maybellene," "Roll Over Beethoven," "Brown-Eyed Handsome Man," "School Day (Ring! Ring! Goes The Bell)," "Rock & Roll Music," "Johnny B. Goode," "Memphis, Tennessee," "Back in the U.S.A.," "Little Queenie," "No Particular Place To Go," "Nadine (Is It You?)," "Promised Land," and (unfortunately) "My Ding-A-Ling."

Happy birthday, Chuck! :party::bounce::toast::yourock:

2. Plagiarist. He got it all from Marty McFly.
Ask his cousin Marvin.

4. Actually, those charges were trumped-up.
Remember, it happened in 1960, at the height of the (also trumped-up) payola hearings, and of the establishment's other efforts to kill the rock 'n' roll "menace." Just as the government was also in the process of flaying Alan Freed, Chuck Berry unfortunately gave them an excuse to come after him.
