Anybody ever had pickled tomatoes?

they looked so disgustingly and repulsively intriguing today at the grocery store, i decided i had to have them.


not bad, not bad at all.


(although i was a little emabarrassed at the checkout counter)

4. i honestly can't describe it

they're just so bad that they're actually good... kinda like they're so gross that they're fun to eat (like beets or pitted olives)...

3. Ever had tomato jam?

It's very yummy too. I'm not a vinegar person so I wouldn't like pickled tomatoes.

5. I pickle some every year

I just get them green out of the garden, quarter them, and add a couple of pepper pods. Mix white vinegar and water about half and half, then throw the canning salt to it.

6. Oh Yum---But not as good as a red pickled egg

Love those pickled tomatos! But if you take the tomatos out and eat them real quick-add a little beet juice to the brine and throw a few pealed hard boiled eggs into the juice for a few days (in the fridge of course) boy ...thats great stuff.
