He looks a lot like the long-faced, solemn WASPS who founded this country. Any of the protraits that you see in public buildings and museums around Boston of the 17th-century Puritans and 18th-century aristocracy look like his ancestors (The Forbes family: Mayflower blood).

Once in a while, we'll get a really good picture of him, and he does look better in person, but for the most part he doesn't photograph very well.

He isn't the most photogenic person in the world, but I can absolutely sympathize because neither am I. I take some terrific pictures and I take some godawful pictures, so I know what it's like to have a crap picture of yourself out there and think "I look NOTHING like that!"

I was about 40 feet away from John Kerry at a rally, by which time I had already decided that he was handsome, and boy, is he attractive in person. To me, he looks like he's in his late 40's-early 50's. And I have the hugest thing ever for tall, slender men. And long, graceful hands. And green eyes. And gorgeous hair. And intelligence, courage, honesty, and integrity. And chivalrous gentlemen (the way he treats Teresa is the way I want my man to treat me). And... you get the picture. He is the consummate man, as far as I am concerned. I have a hardcore crush on a man thrice my age.

Yeah, I'm 20. I'm awfully strange, I know, but then again, my first crush at age 12 was on Harrison Ford in "Air Force One," so if I don't end up marrying a guy at least 20 years my senior, I'll be surprised.

this in a class I'm taking on the election. We were talking about how in America, we haven't had a really *ugly* candidate for President in many years and someone said that John Kerry isn't super great looking or anything. Then this one guy chimed in "well, I saw some pictures of John Kerry in the 70s and uhh...oh..nevermind"...LOL..
