No, I'm not Canadian, but I hear that they are looking for RN's in northern sections of Manitoba and Alberta. A small little village called Lyn Lake may be looking for someone.

And when you look at their immigration policy, it kind of makes sense. For all p.o'd Americans, pay attention: Just because Bush sucks, doesn't mean Canada will give you citizenship just because you run north. They have a "point system."

I believe it works like this: 1-50. If you are a one, forget it. They'll probably boot your butt out the moment they find you.

A 50 is probably a physician. I remember some website that said that, once finishing nursing school and acquire at least a years experience, I will be about 45. But that also decreases with the person's age. A 58 year old Nurse Practitioner will have a harder time granted citizenship than a 20 year old RN or LPN grad with a year experience.

IOW-they won't make you a full-fleged Canadian unless you have something to contribute.

But then, there's always that 10% income tax rate...

I used to be a high school teacher in Orlando, FL. I told my students I was from Maine. Many of them seemed to think that made me a Canadian.
