Today would have been my parents' 58th wedding anniversary.
I'm going to call my father in a little bit. He's at mass, and then is planning on going to the cemetary. They made 57 last October, so this will be a tough day for him.

The good thing is he's a Red Sox fan, so he gets to look forward to a game tonight. You knew they won for a reason!

1. I hope your dad has a good day...
very sweet of you to keep tabs on him; it'd gonna be rough today for him but calls from those who love him as well as hopefully a Red Sox win will help him get through.

2. Wow
I cannot imagine spending 57 years with someone and then not having them there. That's a lifetime.

Best wishes to your dad and here's hoping the Red Sox keep it up! What a series this has been!

4. Thanks!
You know, even if the Red Sox don't win, I'm just thrilled they made it a series instead of getting blown out in 4!

5. Your call to him
will mean a lot. He'll know that you are sharing his feelings today.

6. Thanks and welcome to D.U.
I also sent him a card telling him I was thinking of him.

No answer when I just tried calling. I'll call again in a bit.
