I have an idea if you aren't getting a flu shot
Drink a fifth of vodka* each day so if you do get the flu bug, you will just think it is a shitty hangover.

*Can be substituted with a number of other alcoholic beverages.

1. That sounds like my old boss's cure for the common cold
1) drink 1/2 bottle of Nyquil, 1 beer, and 3 shots of whiskey.
2) IF you wake up in the morning, you'll feel better.

3. My husbands uncle lived to be
101 years old. When asked how he maintained his longevity, he said proudly " I drink one beer a day"

7. There is considerable medical evidence to back that up.
MODERATE alcohol consumption - of ANY alcohol (not just red wine or whatever) - is statistically the #1 thing you can do to reduce your risk of heart disease. Better than exercise, better than diet, period.

The NY Times had a writeup on it a while back. The kicker is, this has been known for decades but health officials are scared to promote it too much, as the downside of alcohol (drinking too much) is too great.

8. I used to do shots with my grandfather
He liked his whiskey, and even as he got older he would do a few shots for Christmas, Easter... and I'm sure when we weren't looking also.
He died at the age of 95.

4. There's nothing better than the North Dakota cure
which has been passed down through our family:

Two weeks of hard work and you'll feel fine.

buy a gun, and lock yourself in your home as if anybody who got the flu were zombies or plague victims...
