And I am truly and usually a very nice person. These people deserve to see their team get their butts whooped. They don't deserve another go at it. :hi:

1. No idea how they're behaving, but in point of fact, I'm
a Yankees fan, and I'm not being particularly obnoxious :)

9. They started throwing baseballs on the field.
I'm a Yankees fan, too. But that just is not cool

11. Yeah. that's pretty bad. Maybe they were just
pissed off at having to pay $18.00 for a hot dog and beer? Just kidding, I think they deserve abuse for acts like that.

10. When A-Rod got caught cheating and the Umps reversed the call
Edited on Tue Oct-19-04 10:33 PM by Nightowl_2004
Yankee Stadium flipped out and started throwing baseballs and any debris they could find at all the Red Sox Players on the fields.

Whats the matter Yankees? Don't like the fact you got caught cheating? (Sorry, not a shot at you. I just found it unacceptable that first A-Rod so blatantly cheated and second, the Yankees Fans acted like such assholes when the umps reversed the ruling and made the CLEARLY Correct decision)

14. Come on now, be realistic, all teams face bad calls
all the time. Note that I'm only taking umbrage with that one thing, I agree that from what I heard, the Yankees fans were idiots.

17. I'm a Sox Fan, and if Riot Police had to be deployed at Fenway
I'd be disgusted with my fellow Red Sox Fans. I know we all face close calls (Fox's Replay quite clearly showed they were good calls even the announcers agreed so) but come on, When Riot Troopers have to line the field, things are absolutely unacceptable!

19. The point wasn't whether the fans were
idiots or not, the point was that the claim of "for once" was a little farfetched.

and hey, I can guarantee, even if I were there I'd be telling to "sit the {expletive deleted} down and shut the {expletive deleted} up!"

Edit: forgot the board doesn't accept square brackets.

4. I used to be a baseball fan until the strike. Then I stopped watching
and have led a much happier life. I refused to be pulled in by the farcical "homerun races" and what not that was used by MLB to lure the sheep back to the fold. That's about it, in a nutshell. :hi:

7. I see...now I( understand...the strike almost lost me, too
The homerun races were an embarrassment, in my eyes, but the game has survived and held on---despite free agency etc.

Nothing like bb...nothing.

6. Was married to a Baseball Coach ....
for fifteen years. LOTS o' baseball.
Baseball be very very good to me... that was my life story.
Sittin' behind home plate.
Yeah, some major league stuff.
Those NYC fans -- ooooh, really rough.
Being a coach's wife is hard work (love that phrase now).

So... I got my ass traded. Went free agent for a time.
and even though I really love baseball, I quit watching or even following.

I'm way out of the loop now, but here in VT... we do claim the Sox.

8. Fascinating
Do you like long, slow, deep, wet kisses that last a week?

That's the most important lesson I learned from studying baseball.

Yeah, kissing is under-rated.
And I love Bull Durham.... great baseball movie!
My son just met Costner in Scotland last week.
I thought that was cool...but then, I'm a mom.

18. you get one more chance
I am picking Green Bay over Dallas in the pool this week at work. But it's their LAST CHANCE (and I loathe Dallas even more than GB, lol). :loveya:

And my low opinion of the yankees and their fans is well known. :-)
