1. P-Funk....definitely....The Isleys are more smooth than funky

Although on that list, The Isley Brothers are my favorite.

2. I thought James Brown was more SOUL than FUNK
Am I mistaken here? After all, who refers to him as the Godfather of FUNK

3. His name is Prince. And he is Funky.
His name is Prince. And he is Funky.
His name is Prince. The one and only.
He did not come 2 funk around
Till he gets your daughter, he won't leave this town.

Hehe, okay, of the list I pick Isley Brothers.

P-Funk was too weird for me.

5. Mr Scorpio, Thank you for the non Baseball thread
I have 10 topics on my page 1 in the lounge right now...
I voted for George Clinton-But his funkalicious sound could never have happened without the Godfather of Soul, The Hardest Working Man in Show Business, James Brown. In fact, didn't Bootsy start out with James Brown?

I watched that Joe Louis Film on PBS last night-pretty enigmatic guy-did you know any of the gents who were reminiscing about him?

BTW You got a fabulous funk collection! :)
