On the Central Coast....
I always heard it called 'Plain Rain'; rain pushing horizontally with the strong winds
(named after the Oxnard Plain, I thought)

Today some old timer told me it's actually 'plane rain'...like a level.

3. We had 50 to 70 MPH gusts on the central coast this morning.......
......along with 4" of rain in about 3 hours. :(

I cuddled up with a cup of tea and a fire....fell asleep on the couch. It was nice.

get behind some chump in his bush stickered Hummer as he goes 12 miles an hour because it's raining.Its flooding already in the San Fernando Valley.

12. Watch out for mud.
It seems like things are so beautiful there most of the time, but every so often, those brush fires and mud slides seem to permeate the landscape instead. Anyway, be safe. :)

13. I'll have to drain some water from the koi pond this morning or else I'm
going to have fishies splashing around in the rose bushes!!!!

It's at grade so the potential EXISTS! I'll drop it about 2 inches to be on the safe side...
