James Crowley, QC, was making submissions in the Court of Appeal in Brisbane on behalf of Susan Maureen Robinson, 34, who in May was suspended from practising for six months by the Health Practitioners Tribunal.
The tribunal's Judge Deborah Richards also placed restrictions on Robinson re-applying to the Psychologists Board of Queensland after she was found guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct by having sex with Mark Robert Nolan a year after she stopped counselling him.
The court heard Robinson treated convicted armed robber Nolan, 25, at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre in Wacol, southwest of Brisbane, in June 1999."
