Why can't I delegate interviews? Because I tried that once and got some really unfortunate resources... grrrrr

Fortunately, I don't have to do it too often, but there is some turn-around, so every month or so I find myself doing one. (On edit, by one I mean several :( )

And you just can't trust those resumes. I've interviewed people with all sorts of IT degrees who can't even form a simple SQL statement. And others with experience in a specific application who can't explain the simplest processes. :eyes:

I made a huge mistake years ago hiring someone based mainly on his resume. I fired him a week later because it was apparent that he had absolutely no clue about what he was doing. He went ballistic on me... I was actually afraid he might come in with a gun. Security had to escort him out of the building.
