BRASÍLIA - Federal Police arrested this Wednesday 50 people accused of stealing money from bank accounts via Internet. It is expected that 20 more people will be arrested until the end of the day.

By the police's calculations, the loss caused to banks was around US$ 27 million. Among the most targeted banks were Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil, HSBC, Bradesco, Unibanco, and Itaú.(...)

According to the investigators, the hackers sent random e-mails to account holders who used the Internet to make transfers.(...)

They do the same thing with eBay, PayPal...
