Schilling torches A-Rod for "Stupid Ass Play"
Just heard Schilling on Rome. He absolutely hammered A-Rod for being unprofessional, a bush-leager. Said he had no respect for A-Rod before last night's game, and nothing has changed.

Classic.

2. Tellin like it is
Never been a big A-Rod fan. He seems like a self important prick without alot of class. Only redeeming moment for him when he let Cal move over to short in his last All-Star game.

And that play last night was definietly "Bush" league!!!

11. A Rod knows better than that
When I first saw the replay, I couldn't believe it. In my opinion, A Rod should have been thrown out of the game becasuse it was so blaitant.

13. He does, I'm sure
My take is that the swat was kind of a reflexive thing, and Rodriguez will own up some day in the future that it was a stupid, stupid play. Once he'd been called out, though, he should have gone quietly back to the dugout. He approached the umpireklatsch and started arguing before Torre interceded and a couple of other guys maneuvered him away. If I had been umpiring, I would have told Rodriguez to head back to the dugout, and that with one more word, he could watch the rest of the game on the clubhouse monitor.
