How does Kevin Costner keep getting work?

Honestly. The 'worst accent ever' poll had a bit of a theme developing, and it reminded me of the question I've been asking myself for the last few months.

How the hell does Kevin Costner keep getting work?

1. he does great movies!!

I LOVE movies depicting the post apocalyptic world, now dont laugh but if it wouldnt be for kevin the whole post apocalyptic franchise would have been dead, atleast he gave us waterworld and the postman. ok waterworld wasnt THE best but still it was ok.

And also hes done nice movies like the untouchables, dances with wolves(the european 4hour version!!!) and robin hood

2. I Like Him As An Actor

And as long as I'm willing to pay to see him...then I guess he will be employed.

I just wish he could have selected a few better roles though.

3. I have no f'ing idea....

I liked Bull Durham, but mainly because of Sarandon and Robbins.
I liked The Untouchables, but mainly because of Connery.
I liked Field of Dreams... and I actually liked Costner in that.


But everything else he's done is CRAP! He is THE most boring actor ever. For a handsome man, he has NO screen-appeal whatsoever. I thought Dances With Wolves was nearly unwatchable. I think he's juste an enormous bore who's made a few decent movies.
