Bass or Newkies I'd be there. I'll take a pass on Lone Star. Hey, wasn't that the name of the Hans Solo character in Space Balls?

9. Hey now...when ice cold Lone Star is pretty good.
I got used to drinking it in college. It was 69 cents a bottle when all the other beer was 99 cents a bottle. Even a dumb aggie like me figured out I could get drunker, cheaper on Lone Star.

It was better. When they were indie... Then they got taken over by some Milwaukee company and it tastes like chemicals. x(

17. chill!
We were talking about being POOR students in the 80's. My appreciation of micros and ales had to be put off until I got out of school. Hell, when I moved to WA in the 80's, micros were just getting started, and super-pricey ($9.00 a 6-pack). They didn't become trendy until the 90's (thanks to Seattle - who got two beverage trends off the ground). When you consider how much I could put away in college, no fucking way was I going to drink a micro for that much money.

19. I agree -- I was once a poor student too.
I think it was Rolling Rock or something like that. Or a pitcher of Michelob and a couple of slices at Naples Pizza. Did I really used to drink that much?

15. So, you watching the game?
What're you drinking?

Yes, we're watching the game. Ricky loves to watch baseball, Sammy likes football.

Newkies....
