Anderson Cooper - Mamma's boy
He's going to be featured in In Style magazine next month. They showed a picture of his bedroom. There is a huge (fills up the wall) portrait of his mother over his bed. Yikes.

Beautiful picture, but couldn't it be in the hall or something?

5. Nope.....

.....Swedish. In Icelandic in would be Bjornsdottir, however only in Iceland do they still use this type of surname. Most people in Sweden stopped using this method 80-100 years ago.

Cheers,
Kim :toast: skol!

14. That's worse than
The bed & breakfast I stayed in with a SO one Christmas that had Mary (as in Jeebus's mom) trinkets everywhere, including a portrait above the bed.

Wonder what Anderson's women friends think of that when they come over? Ewwww.

10. another U-by-the-bootstraps success story....
his life must have been difficult growing up in the Vanderbilt household. I'm certain that he really had to claw his way to the top.

12. I give him credit
he's never had to work a day in his life, but he has. He's actually done some real reporting and some real work. And as far as I know, he's never played off his family name.

18. I like Anderson Cooper
I think that he is a real reporter, but the hurricane show just drove me crazy. Hence the following post on my blog.

Disaster TV
During Jeanne I was up late and had CNN on as background noise. Anderson Cooper spent the entire night standing beside a building somewhere in Florida saying, "It's windy." At some point in his 12+ hour sojourn it ceased to be news. You can always count on a hurricane to be windy. I knew the hurricane was coming. Can't you just let me know that it's arrived, and report back with the consequences?

Now its Mt. St. Helens. Do we really need a special news bulletin because a volcano belched some steam? Don't get me wrong. I respect the power of the volcano. In May of 1980 I heard St. Helens go boom. My location was covered in ash and I was stranded for several days. Am I interested in what's going on. Sure. But I can wait for the evening news.
