Freecell! 100-game winning streak! Ask me anything!

Yes, I just hit 100 in my "games in a row won." First time ever. I've been playing for years, and I'm going through them sequentially. I'm up to 14,638.

Any other Freecell fanatics here?

Whoa! Don't tell me though... I might be tempted! So far I've been "clean" (well, except for one time I hit "ctrl+alt+delete" to avoid recording a loss when the cat walked across the keyboard).

2. I'd do ANYTHING to get just a 2-game winning streak in FreeCell.

However, one time I was over 700 dollars in the black on Vegas-style Solitare.

Seriously, I don't mean I've been playing it continuously. I do volunteer work, but I play a couple of games of freecell in between doing other stuff on the computer. This "winning streak" started sometime in July.

but I just get overwhelmed with the stupidity of (some) people, and need a break sometimes. I'm kind of in a "down" phase right now, and struggling to keep working to elect Kerry. I keep thinking "if these people whose lives are going to hell don't care enough to vote - or even *educate* themselves on their options, why should *I* care?" I keep throwing that thought out on its ear, but it keeps creeping back in.

I've only played about 1500 random deals and I have a 90% win rate so far. If you can beat the impossible deal 11982 then you are my god.

At least, nobody I know of. I think that's the only truly impossible deal in the MS version of freecell. So far, it's the only one I haven't been able to win eventually. Some of them take more tries than others though. And 11982 gave me the longest losing streak I've ever had. I think it was 8 before I gave up... And since I tried it multiple times each session (Freecell only counts the first loss per session on any given game), I can't tell you how many times I tried, but it was at least three days. (Not playing continuously, of course, but I won't go on to the next game until I've won the one I'm working on... like I said, I think it was eight or nine "sessions" worth of trying.

If you are not playing at least two suits, you're not challenging yourself enough.

18. Several years ago I won 100 in a row -

but random games. I set the goal of 100 and quit after achieving it because I was spending too much time on it. Did a similar thing earlier with solitaire except my goal then was winning without drawing a card before everything was uncovered. That took about 6 months to a year. I am not going to get hooked on any more games like that. Life is too short.

20. I did go through a time of obsession

playing for an hour or so at a time... several times a day. YIKES! But I got over it. These days, I do two or three a day. Maybe as many as five on a slow day.
