I'd like to bid a less-than-fond adieu to PAY-ROD and the Yankees
Ohhhh, gosh.

I am just busted up for pooooooooooooooor Alex Rodriguez. He decided Seattle hadn't paid him enough, he was then traded to the Rangers, whom he basically bankrupted with a colossal contract. He exited to the Yankees as quickly as possible.

He will spend the entire offseason picking splinters from the bench out of his ass, and I, for one, am THRILLED about it.

Goooooooooooo Red Sox, and buh-bye, PayRod!

Love,
Julie

1. So classy
Not.

I guess you think that Manny deserves his colossal salary too? And Pedro?

3. I'm a classy kind of a gal, YankeesFan
Considering the fact that I am a Seattle native, and we endured months of PayRod's "should I leave? should I stay?" after the front office and Seattle's fans rolled out the red carpet for the aforementioned egomaniac, I think I was restrained in my criticism.

It's time for some new contenders in the Series, and I think we just got some.

Julie

The Red Sox wanted it more.

Bush supporter, hm? Boy, that explains it all about PayRod, doesn't it?

"Hi. My average was a buck fifty in the post season, but don't hold that against me! Vote for Bush. He's as big of a loser as I am!"

I don't care that you left the Mariners. It just pisses me off that you said it wasn't about the money, and then picked up the biggest paycheck in baseball history! THAT I care about, you lying sack of shit. Enjoy your bench time, shithead! }(

18. Then you'll love this
I got this from a very reliable source.

Remember this:

Recall at the time that A-Rod's batting average was less than his weight. Arroyo hit him in the arm with a pitch, and A-Rod started to jaw at him. Varitek got in front of him, and the viewing audience saw A-Rod challenge Tek to a fight, which as you can see, Tek was more than happy to provide.

What the viewing audience didn't see was what Tek said to A-Rod:

"Take your fucking base, Alex. We don't throw at .240 hitters."

At which point A-Rod blew his stack.

22. Wow, it's tough for Pay-Rod in the big leagues
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 05:01 PM by JulieRB
You mean that guys actually expect Pay-Rod to produce in New Yawk City?

Color me shocked, no, SHOCKED.

In the meantime, Mr. Varitek was remarkably restrained in my humble opinion.

Julie

p.s. I can only hope the pride of New York City (and his big-ass contract,) gets into a press conference sooner than later and uses the phrase "it's hard work" half a dozen times in five minutes.

28. Oh my word, Will, that is PRICELESS
I've had a grudge against Pay-Rod since the whole debacle here when he screwed the Mariners up one side and down the other with his "stay or go" tease.

Screw you, pretty boy! We liked Omar Vizquel better anyway!

Ok, I guess you all deserve too.

He's overpaid, went out like a bitch in this series, and didn't help the Yankees win anything this year (OK, the AL East title but who cares) but

A-Rod' still so cute!!!!

31. You mean, A-Hole's prior salary wasn't good enough?
Maybe he can shove the difference between his old salary and new one up where the sun don't shine.

What a pig.

Still, he's a symptom of a far worse problem: A bloated, impossibly expensive industry that steals from its constituents in order to make A-Hole and his ilk undeservedly rich.

32. Remember his gaffe when Boeing's corporate headquarters left?
And he wrote that letter to Boeing saying, "Hey, I went to Texas, you should come on down too!" Then the next night the Rangers played at Safeco, and it was Boeing Family Night. :D

Man, what a fucking doofus. Stupidity and arrogance -- such a sad combination, really.

33. If Yankee fans did this sort of shit, you'd all be all over them
It's pure hypocrisy--all the bullshit that yankee haters spew just covers up the fact that they have as little class as they claim the yankees do. I'm completely disgusted by the show of sportsmanship I've seen on DU today.
