1. They haven't done it yet
They still have to win the series.

2. Twins fan here.
Think how bad it feels for me.
At least the Yankees don't have to make the really, really hard decisions this postseason like the Twins do.

10. I'm not completely sure...
I just get nervous when Twins players start getting good, 'cause there's no way the organization can afford to keep them all.
I'll get back to you.

And they should have kept Mientkiewicz. I just love seeing his name. (Had to go to the RedSox site to get the spelling right)

5. There are few Sox fans...
...myself included, who don't start every year pulling for the Cubbies in the other league.

8. I'll be pulling for the NL in the series
Without the curse, Boston would be just like any other team. The curse us what makes them special, like the Cubs.

12. You are not the only one.
My son and I went to THAT GAME last year.

I am so happy for Boston, though. If they can break their curse, we can, too!

13. Look at it this way...
...If it couldn't be the Cubbies (and it obviously couldn't), at least it was somebody like them.

(Lived within earshot of Wrigley Field for several years. I can remember saying, soon after I moved into that place, "Hey, where's that organ music coming from?" I can also remember saying, "Holy shit, look at all the damn cockroaches!" but you probably don't care about that.)

14.  I hear ya barackmyworld.

I'm still upset about the Cubs blowing it last year. That was probably as close as they will ever get to the World Series. Turned me off baseball completely. I think I liked them better when they just finished a season above .500 .

But HEY! Glad the Red Sox won!!

15. Kind of puts the pressure on the Cubbies for next year, doesn't it?
I still believe. But then, I've been called a damn fool, too.
