1. The series is irrelevent. Actually, it was just played. |
|
An ordinary series cannot take precedence over breaking a curse and changing a venerable set of statistics.

2. If they're gonna win it for Kerry... |
|
It will be simply because he is a fan. A long-suffering, dues-paying member of Red Sox Nation.
Thanks for your support, however.

|
This'll be the first World Series I'm old enough to actually understand and enjoy (I was 7 yrs. old in '86 when we lost to the Mets... don't remember it too much first hand, didn't understand the magnitude). THANK YOU JOHNNY! THANK YOU ORTIZ! THANK YOU SCHILLING! THANK YOU ALL! GO SOX! And... GO KERRY, TOO! ;)

I would love to see you get it this time - I thought that last year -
so now go do it - and have a good time - drive safe - no drumks or accidents - just have a good time - rent a large hotel room with a big screen tv and have everyone come over - and party and sleep on the floor and drive home in the morning

thinking of Yaz, Ted Williams, Tony C, Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice, Luis Tiant, Fred Lynn, Dennis Eckersley, right now? There are so many others. I know I'm forgetting a whole lot.

8. they were playing when I lived up there and followed the Sox . . . |
|
I remember vividly the Buckner incident . . . I was working in a wood shop at the time, and my boss (a rabid Sox fan) was unbearable the next day . . . lots of great players have passed through Fenway . . . just as lots of great players have passed through the Stadium . . .
