Help. Can someone explain why my Kazaalite all of a sudden won't start?

I've used it for probably years and for some reason when I hit to start it now I get a message saying

this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down

when I press details on the diagnostic message it says:

any computer savvy people know what I can do? I wonder if it has somthing to do with Internet explorer which now has something I never noticed before, it might have been there before but there's a bar at the bottom of the IE interface/pages with a green circle/check mark and "trusted sites" next to the check.

1. Well first, reboot your computer, then try again

It could just be a temporary problem. On the other hand, if you've been using it for years, it's likely that some file or another has corrupted and you'll have to see if you can find another copy of the program.

Back when I was on Morpheus, I always thought my computer was working for the RIAA when I got that message. :)

2. I've rebooted a couple of times

I've deleted all of my temporary internet files and cookies.

I've used adaware.

all to no avail.

5. If I reinstall, do I have to move all the files out of my Kazaa folder?

before hand? Does an uninstall remove just Kazaa.exe or the entire program files / KaZaA Lite ?

6. I did it before about a year back

and it didn't delete all the music files. Whether or not it is still that way I don't know, but it used to be.

4. I've got 2.1 kazaalite....It's workin fine.

So it's not the network.

7. you didn't ask this, but here it is anyway

I switched over to LimeWire and like it MUCH better than Kazaa. You can search your computer for files and bring over all your old ones from Kazaa.
