Father Accused Of Hitting Son Over Head With Board

The father of a 9-year-old Waukesha County boy is accused of hitting him over the head with a board.

The boy's parents are divorced, and the mother didn't learn of the alleged abuse until the next day, when her son said his head hurt.

He told her, and later police, that his father hit him with a board because he wouldn't wear his bike helmet.

The 9-year-old was treated at Children's Hospital for bruising to his head a day after he said he was riding his bike at his father's apartment in Pewaukee and was punished for not wearing his helmet.

According to the criminal complaint, the boy told an officer, "Dad took a board and hit me in the head."

The boy allegedly told investigators his father said, "...this is what it feels like when you don't wear a bike helmet, and 'then he whapped me with it.'"

I've been chased around the house a few times with an Oleander branch but a 2X4 is going to the extreme. On a side note the boy needs to watch more 3 stooges episodes, the word "whapped" should be "thwackkkk"
