Yankees fan needs a copy editor
On a sign seen at the game last night:

"If history teache's us anything, they'll lose!"

:wtf::wtf:

Why, oh why, oh why would a verb get an apostrophe before a final "s"? Did the signmaker just think it looked nice that way?

There are rules for this sort of thing, Yankees fans.

1. As Dave Barry said,
...the purpose of the apostrophe is for use in hand-lettered signs, to let us know that an 's' is coming.
