36. No breed, really, he's just a farm cat!

His mother was a tortoiseshell kitty on my fiancee's parents' farm. We're guessing his father was a big, spooky blue-eyed white cat we saw around the farm for awhile. (There were two other white kittens in the same litter, but they both had two green eyes.)

37. Hmm, he's not deaf, but he's not at all sound-sensitive either.

You know how you can usually spook a misbehaving cat by yelling or shaking a can of coins? Not this guy. Never stopped to think he might be partly deaf.

I've read that blue-eyed white cats are often deaf, but also that having one green eye or even a few black hairs (which this guy does, some tiny fine ones on the forehead) is enough to remove that risk. Amazing stuff, isn't it?
