So you think you had a bad day....! |

Yesterday I bought a new car. Well, not "New" new, but it only has 31,000 miles on it and it's a beauty. I drove it off the lot at 7 pm to drive it home. The weather was a mess here in Washington (DC) and all the roads were clogged getting home so it took me about 2 hours to drive 40 miles across town. When I was about a mile from home, some incredible jerk came shooting out of a parking lot without looking - all he saw was the break in traffic going south, and he gunned it....right in front of my "new" car. No one was hurt, but I was just devastated all night. Damn, that hurt!

2. That's awful. I'm sorry GOPF. When MrG bought his new truck he |
|
drove exactly .1 mile from the dealer (we know because we looked, and you could still see the dealership in the rear view mirror) and got rearended by some ass...knocked the back fender right off. The kicker is that our insurance only wanted to pay for a used replacement bumper. Grrrrr. Feel Better. Glad you are okay.

I was shopping with my son during the Christmas season. Someone was driving slowly through the parking lot of the mall with a car so new it still had the sticker in the window.
An idiot backed into him and did lots of damage. There was nothing he could have done to escape the idiot.
My husband has a new truck now, too. His former truck, which was in very good condition, was parked at his workplace. A very drunk person hit it so hard it was pushed off the street onto the sidewalk. The spare tire flew through a window of the building where he works. Luckily, no one was hurt.
The drunk was celebrating his release from jail for a DUI. He was driving his mother's car, because he had just totaled his own. He tried to flee, but someone stopped him.
I know his life is a mess, but now we are stuck with truck payments and higher insurance costs.
I hope you get things straightened out without too much more hassle. Good luck.

5. Did this person 'mud up' your new car or hit you? |
