Dammit. My lease signing got postponed. Again.

I am thisclose to having a very nice, very affordable apartment lined up.

20 minutes before I was supposed to head over there to do one last inspection then sign today (which already was pushed back two days), I get a call from the landlord asking if I could possibly reschedule. So, now it's lunchtime tomorrow.

Dammit. I'd at least like to have this bit of business taken care of already...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it happens tomorrow. Yeah, I know how stressful dealing with landlords are. :-(

2. This landlord actually seems like a nice guy

Tuesday, it was an emergency at one of his other properties; today, he just overbooked himself. But still.

He was so relieved to see an adult apply for one of his apartments that he offered me a break on the rent if I'd be willing to do some of my own troubleshooting (i.e. plunge the toilet, check the breaker box, take the trap off the sink before calling him for maintenance help) and call the plumber/electrician/appliance guy myself if need be, just send him the bill. That's fine by me!
