2. I absolutely hate it when I get called Hon or Dear - hate it!
It's especially shrill when someone that is younger than me calls me "hon" "thanks Hon" and oh god I hate "you're a doll"..."be a doll" etc. This is definately a hot button for me - whew. Just talking about it gets me fired up!

3. Bothers the hell out of me!!
Or when they use your first name like you're friends (my husband is in politics and everyone who knows him just assumes they can call me Debi).

(Especially people younger than me)!

Okay, toots?

13. I don't mind it at all.
Now, being called ma'am from someone younger than myself... That's a different story. I had to get used to that because they do that a lot here in the south, the ma'am thing. I'm only 32!

14. Doesn't bother me at all. I could be called a lot worse. :-)
I use "honey" "dear" and "sweetie" myself. Sometimes to the people here in the Lounge. I hope they don't mind. :-)

15. It bugs me too
invariably sleazy men think i'm their honey or sweetie.
ewww. Especially since they generally shouldn't be talking to me at all, much less perverting terms of endearment

21. "Hon" or "Dear" sounds alot better than...
"You want cream in that, bitch?" I think Hon or Dear or Sweetie is really innocent.

23. Happened jsut today
Some asshole parked his truck in the driveway where I needed to drop off some wine for a client. Took up the entire width of the drive AND left the passenger door open.
I squeek in as close as I can with my truck, get out and open the back. I'm scrunching the cartons toward the tailgate and this asshole says (finally), "Want me to move my truck, dear?"
:grr:
