Pro-Bush poster (a discreet one actually) in an unrelated forum posted a lengthy article by him against Kerry (tries to lump him with Jane Fonda etc). He named the article's author as "former USMC Colonel North". A quick google showed the text splattered proudly across lots and lots of RW sites. (townhall being the apparent origin)
I just pointed out the fellow's first name was Oliver, and yep, it was THAT Oliver.

In it was an essay asking the question why people thougth North was a "Hero"? The man orchestrated an illegal war and sold weapons to terrorists!
I have no recollection of writing that essay, but it was in my handwriting.

Well, the fundies remind of the jews when Moses was on the mount getting the ten commandments. Remember how freaked out they were and how easy it was for the Eqyptian to convince them that they needed to build the golden calf.
Same thing here - the fundies are so easily persuaded, they will believe anyone.
